1. Introduction.
Teacher: Today we’re going to talk about safety and different types of signs. Could you tell me why the signs have different shapes and colours?

1. Reading - Types of safety signs.
Teacher: Read the text in exercises 1 and try to match the examples to the signs. What types of safety signs do you know? What are their shapes and colours? What is the role of the safety signs?

2. Instructions.
Teacher: Please look in the language box. As you can see, there are some ways to express rules and warnings. You can use a positive imperative form (Always + bare infinitive), a negative imperative (Never/Don’t + bare infinitive) or the modal verb (must/mustn’t).
Teacher: Look at the six signs in exercises 2 and complete the instructions with the words in the box.
