My cousin Robert is English. His mother -my dad's sister- is Spanish and his father is English. He lived in England until last year, when he came to work in Spain. He teaches English as a Foreign Language in a school in Barcelona. He has lived in Barcelona for about six months now, but he's planning to go back to England in the summer.
Robert Came to our house to have dinner with my family last weekend. He speaks quite good Spanish, but his accent is a bit strange! I couldn't understand everything he said, so I had to speak to him in English. I asked him what he enjoyed about his job. He said he liked working with other people, and he enjoys living in Spain, especially eating Italian food! He likes practising his Spanish, but sometimes he gets tired of speaking in another language.
He told me that he didn't like working late in the evenings, but most of the lessons are in the evenings because he is teaching teenagers and adults. Sometimes he doesn't finish until ten o'clock at night! On the other hand, he doesn't have to get up very early in the mornings! I asked him what he liked best about Spain, and he told me that he loved making new friends, going skiing and going to watch Barcelona when they are playing at home. If I were him I wouldn't go back to England!
