I'm a little Christmas tree tall and straight
Here are my branches for you to decorate.
First you put the star on the very top Just be careful that my balls don't drop
Hang on all the tinsel
Shiny and bright
Put on the canes
And hook them just right.
Finally put some presents
For you and for me.
And we'll be ready
With our Christmas tree.

It was Christmas Eve. Suzy Goose and her friends were around the tree.
It was beautiful. But it was missing one thing.
“It needs a star on top”
“Just like the one in the sky. I’ll get it!”
And before anybody could stop her, Suzy dived off the top of the hill.
She slid down really, really fast and WOOOOSH flew high up in the sky.
But not quite high enough. SPLAT!
“Never mind. I have another plan”.
She saw a fence, climbed on top, stretched up very, very high and jumped.
But not quite high enough. SPLAT!
“Never mind. I’ll try again”
She saw a pile of logs, climbed on top, stretched up very, very high and...jumped.
But not quite high enough. SPLAT!
“Never mind”- thought Suzy.
She decided to walk to the star.
The wind was blowing. The snow was falling. It was getting late.
Suzy walked and walked and walked. She was tired.
“It’s Christmas Eve, I can’t reach the star and I’m very far from my friends”- she thought.
Suzy Goose was alone. She was lost.

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.

Then she heard a familiar sound.
HONK! HONK! HEE HOW! MOO!
“I know that sound!”
“The sound is coming from my friends. They are calling me!”
And she run towards it.
Suzy’s friends were so glad to see her. How nice it was to be back.
“It’s so nice to see you”
Everybody made happy noises.
HONK! HONK! HEE HAW! MOO! MOO!
Then she noticed that your friends were staring up at the sky.
And when Suzy turned around, she saw a beautiful star shining above the tree.
It looked magical!
“Merry Christmas”, honked Suzy Goose with all her friends.
