Konkurs składa się z dwóch etapów :


ETAP 1 : Rozwiąż Quiz. Pomoże Ci w tym informacja zamieszczona poniżej.
ETAP 2 : Przygotuj pracę plastyczną ( format A4, technika dowolna ) na temat :
"The symbols of Easter"

Easter is the time in spring when people celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
The symbols of Easter are Easter eggs, the Easter lamb and the Easter bunny.
British children have two weeks of school holidays.
Easter season starts on Shrove Tuesday, when people eat pancakes.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday.
On Good Friday a lot of people eat hot cross buns.
On Easter Sunday people get up very early and go to church with the whole family.
After that everyone gives each other chocolate eggs.
Children in England play a lot of egg games like egg rolling or egg hunting.
Parents hide small chocolate eggs in the garden. Children find them and put them in
small baskets.
Later in the afternoon they visit their families and eat special cake for tea.

“JACK-O’-LANTERN – the symbol of Halloween”

Halloween is celebrated on 31st October. It is an old tradition to celebrate the evening before All Saints – the Day of the Dead. Halloween means “holly evening”. On Halloween evening children dress up in scary costumes – as ghosts, monsters, witches or skeletons and they go to Halloween parties. There are special orange and black decorations at these parties. The symbol of Halloween is a special lamp called jack-o’-lantern. This is an empty pumpkin with eyes and a mouth, and a candle inside. It looks scary! On Halloween evening groups of children go from house to house and say “Trick or treat!”
They want to get some sweets. If not, they play some tricks on people. Children play games at Halloween parties, for example : “bobbing the apple”, “apples on a string” and “fortune telling”. Halloween is fun for kids!

Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday observed on February 14th. This is the day on which people send love notes called „valentines” to people they like. Inside valentines they write love poems, but they do not write their names. It's a secret. This tradition of sending cards are very popular. Every year people send about 150 million cards.
Apart from sending cards, people give each other sweets, flowers and gifts. Saint Valentine's Day is also associated with red hearts, winged Cupids and chocolates.

4) Z okazji zbliżających się Świąt Bożego Narodzenia zapraszam Was do udziału w szkolnym konkursie związanym z Bożym Narodzeniem w Wielkiej Brytanii.

" Christmas tree"

Christmas is the most popular family holiday in Britain. People prepare for Christmas, they exchange Christmas cards, they buy presents and decorate a Christmas tree.
On 24 December some people go to church to attend the so called ”Christmas mass”. Children hang up stockings because they believe that Santa Claus arrives and leaves wonderful presents.
The next day is 25 December which is called Christmas Day. This is the most important day of Christmas. Early in the morning children wake up and open their presents. At midday the whole family meets at the Christmas table and they have Christmas dinner. They eat roast turkey, mince pies and Christmas pudding. After dinner children have fun while pulling ”crackers”, Crackers are cardboard tubes with small presents, printed jokes and paper hat inside.
The last day of Christmas is 26 December and it's called Boxing Day. On this day people visit their friends and organize parties.
