Przebieg lekcji:

1. Rozgrzewka - powtórzenie słownictwa z poprzedniej lekcji oraz odpowiedzi na pytania nauczyciela (praca z klasą):

2.Wprowadzenie nowego słownictwa:
produce oxygen
absorb carbon dioxide
cool the air
retain water
prevent droughts and flooding
stop dust and dirt
be home to animals
provide wood material for paper
emit into atmosphere essential oils

3. Nauczyciel prosi uczniów indywidualnie ułożyć zdania z nowymi wyrazami, które będą zawierać odpowiedź na pytanie:

Why do people call the trees and the forests " the lungs of the planet"?

4. Nastepnie uczniowie w parach tłumaczą zdania na karteczkach:

We must look for innovative energy solutions.
People must focus on the future of our planet and join their efforts in order to reach a success.
Keep the air, land and water clean for yourselves and for the next generations.
Look after the planet,it's the only one we have.
The trees slow down the circulation of water in nature, prevent droughts and flooding, absorb CO2 and the forests are homes for plants and animals.
